I keep coming back to my images of the Dog Track in Black Canyon City. It was so fun shooting there and it was my first Urbex experience. The place has sense undergone some sort of renovation, whether it is with the owner’s consent or not I have no idea. The seats have since been ripped out and much of the glass has been cleaned up. It would be interesting to get back there at some point to see what it’s like.

And Finally
- This week’s sunset photo of the week award goes to Tim Nealon for his image from Wilimington Island. I absolutely love the colors in this shot!

This is a shot from the Abandoned Dog Track in Black Canyon City. Kristi and I went back for another photo shoot not long ago and I was sad to see they were demolishing some of the interior. It’s strange because you would think a building which has been vacant for 30 years wouldn’t change too much but I guess that’s not true. To see more shots from the Dog Track, click here

The photos featured about come primary from people I interact with through comments as well Twitter and Facebook. I very much enjoy checking out the work of fellow photographers and I would love to list you in a future post. Thanks!

Ok, I know that is probably the most lame title I’ve every come up with but o’well. It’s actually given me quite a good laugh as I’m writing up this post. I took this shot at the abandoned dog track in Black Canyon City. Be sure to check out more of my images from this site by clicking here.

Never Compromise
Happy Fourth of July
I like this photo quite a bit even though this scene was captured by Mike Olbinski, Kristi Hines, and many others. I did my best to shoot it from a different angle and to add some unique processing to it. I’m interested in hearing what you think.
On another note, I am a huge fan of the movie. It has everything, great acting, great special effects, intense action scenes, boobs, you name it… I was struck by a scene at the end of the movie which is where I got the idea for the title. I wont give anything away in case you haven’t seen it, but I highly recommend you watch it if you haven’t. If you have… See it again.

A Chair
Happy Monday Everyone!
I have some big changes coming in the next couple weeks. I’ll be talking a little more about them throughout the week, but I feel it’s a bit too in depth for a Monday post. I hope that you all had a great weekend!
Today, we revisit the scene of my first real Urbex adventure – The Black Canyon Dog Track. This was such a great place to shoot, we spent about 4 hours there in the afternoon and could have easily spent another 4 hours there as well. When I first saw this chair it sat alone and rather unremarkable, but as the sun continued to set, the shadows got longer and I ended up with this shot. I thought, considering the scene, that this was perfect for black & white. I look forward to hearing what you think! Have a great day
