  • This week’s sunset sunrise photo of the week award goes to Mike Olbinski for his photo “Good Morning Kansas”. So this might not be the usual sunset photo but this is really an awesome shot with lots of soul and feeling that you don’t want to miss!

The Bench

Here’s a nice shot I took at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim back in July. The weather really couldn’t have been more perfect. There was a little light rain, some great clouds and spectacular sunset. This particular area was absolutely peaceful and I wished I could had gone back to shoot a sunrise here. Please enjoy and have a great weekend!

  • This week’s sunset photo of the week award goes to Gary Arndt for this wonderful capture of a family on the beach at sunset in Acapulco, Mexico

Bartlett Lake Sunrise

I seem to be on a bit of a sunrise kick the last few days. I took this shot at sunrise not long ago at Bartlett Lake. The water was very pleasant for 5:30am and I set up for this shot not quite waste deep in the lake. I used the Topaz Adjust’s ‘Spicify” filter for this one – I’ve been liking it a lot lately. Thank you very much for all your great support and comments this week, I greatly appreciate it!

  • This week’s sunset photo of the week award goes to Tim Nealon for his image from Wilimington Island. I absolutely love the colors in this shot!

“3″

This is a shot from the Abandoned Dog Track in Black Canyon City. Kristi and I went back for another photo shoot not long ago and I was sad to see they were demolishing some of the interior. It’s strange because you would think a building which has been vacant for 30 years wouldn’t change too much but I guess that’s not true. To see more shots from the Dog Track, click here

Last But Not Least…

  • Diane Varner wins this week’s Sunset Photo of the Week Award. She has a fantastic post this week entitled “Far Beyond the Landscape – The San Joaquin Valley”. This is such a fantastic series of images so make sure you check them out!

Las Vegas

Here’s one of the shots I took on the Las Vegas Strip. I had the idea to shoot the Bellagio fountains from the hotel side which the Eiffel Tower in the background. I rather like the way the shot came out with the multi colored neon lights reflected in the clouds. I’d love to hear your feedback so be sure to leave a comment. Have a great weekend!
