Tempe Town Lake
Here’s another shot that I took at Tempe Town Lake a few months back. I have absolutely no idea what that building is across the water but it certainly looks interesting. I will have to find out what it is some day. Thanks for all your comments and have a great weekend!

Housekeeping
I have been trying a little something different with my Friday Photo Spots post the last couple weeks. Instead of writing a brief excerpt about the image, I have been including only the image name and author. This has cut back considerably on the amount of time it takes to this post as well as allowing me to include more photographers. I thought I would take a moment to ask all of your opinions. Be sure to leave your feedback in the comments and let me know if you like the new format. Thanks for all your support!

Canyoneering
This is one of my favorite shots from my trip the other week. I absolutely love the lines, textures, and colors – especially the blue colors. Thanks for all of your comments and encouragement on my latest images. I can’t wait to go on another canyoneering adventure.
A lot of people left comments on how tight the space was on the image I posted yesterday. I thought I would include this photo that Damian took today. This was the tightest spot we had to squeeze through – right under this fallen boulder. I’m not really a big guy, but I got momentarily stuck going through this spot. The trick of course is not to panic, so when I started to feel stuck I just made sure to relax and breathe. In no time, I was able to slide through before grabbing my pack.

Have A Great Weekend!
I just wanted to give a special shout out and congrats to Mike Olbinski & Scott wood who were able to photograph and time-lapse a massive dust storm that hit the Phoenix area this past week. There photos and videos have been seen on various news networks around the country which has been some awesome exposure that is well deserved. Check out their blogs for photos and videos of the storm!

The Grand Canyon
Just the other day I posted a photo of how close I got to the edge of the Grand Canyon. I actually have another version of today’s image that includes how close my feet and tripod legs are to the edge, but considering some of the comments I got the other day I think I’ll keep that version to myself. Let’s just say that the distance can’t be measured in inches.
Kristi and I had a fantastic time shooting at both the North and South Rims. I personally can’t wait to get back there very soon. Thank you everyone for your comments and tweets, I’m glad you have enjoyed this series of images. Next week, I’ll be posting some of the images from my canyoneering adventure so stay tuned!

Puffalump
Ok, so I have no idea what these are actually called but my wife calls them Puffalumps. Not long after we first met, I took Kristi hiking and she spent about an hour photographing these little things. On a more recent trip, I happend to come across a few of these and I took this shot just for her.

Happy Friday!
First of all Thank you to everyone who has commented, tweeted and shared my posts this week. Your support and feedback means the world to me and I really appreciate it. It’s been a busy, busy week here for me. I’m in the middle of making some changes to this blog that I should have ready in the next couple weeks.
I have also been planning a little trip for our 4th of July weekend. We will be doing some photographing in Page before we head to North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Finally, I’ll be meeting up with my buddy Damian and we’ll be headed into another slot canyon in the page area – this one starts with a 200′ rappel! I’m very excited for this trip and I’ll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for some clouds while we’re up there!

On The Rocks
This is a shot I took not long ago at Apache Lake. I was again playing around with some different ideas and I liked how the sun illuminated these rocks on the beach of the lake. As always, thank you very much for all your support and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback!
