Chihuly Special
When we visited in August, the Bellagio’s ceiling was decorated with Chihuly Glass. Chihuly displays are always so colorful and interesting. I remember a few years back I took Kristi to photograph a Chihuly display at the Desert Botanical Gardens here. Ahhh, if only I had been into photography then…

The Bicycle
Here’s another shot from the Bellagio’s Conservatory. This is a single handheld exposure that I played around with a lot before deciding to use Topaz Simplify to give it more of a painting feel. I decided to post both the before and after images today to give you the idea. Be sure to leave your feedback in the comments and let me know what you think!

Back in Five Minutes
Have you ever visited the Bellagio’s conservatory during a trip to Vegas? They always do a great job of lavishly decorating a it’s a great spot for taking some photos. The theme when I last visited was “A Timeless Tribute to Summer” which I found to be really nice. Personally, I find it to be even more interesting after a couple 48oz margaritas from Fat Tuesdays but then again, thats just me
. I have more of these photos to come soon!

Lost in Caesar’s
Have you ever noticed while attempting to navigate your way through the hotels in Las Vegas that they seem to be built to keep you in? I guess they figure if you can’t easily find the exit that you’ll stay longer and spend more money. The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace is one of those places where I always seem to end up going in a circle. That could be because I’ve spent the majority of my time in Vegas drunk, but still…
This time in Vegas however I managed not to drink any alcohol at all. I figured that being harassed by the tripod police would be inevitable and on the whole, I thought it would be better to deal with those potential situations sober. I was pleasantly surprised however that I was never approached or harassed by security the entire time I was there! I didn’t spend as much time shooting in the different hotels as I intended, I still got some pretty good shots.
This photo presented a few new processing challenges for me and I would be quite interesting in hearing what you think. Be sure to leave a comment below if you have any feedback or suggestions. Thank you!
