Fun On A Rope

I took a ropes course class in Sedona a few months ago. I learned quite a bit about the uses of different knots, building anchors, belaying and rappelling which will come in handy in the near future. I’m quite looking forward to the weather warming up this spring so I can get into some nice slot in the Grand Canyon area this year.

I suspect this guy isn’t quite sure what’s going to happen when he gets below the overhang and hangs in space? Maybe a bit of spinning round? An excellent viewpoint for this shot – gives a real feeling of height and isolation. It looks cold too – or maybe that’s the processing – either way it helps create the mood for this shot. Nice work, Jason.

Cool shot Jason. I really admire people that can do this. I’m going to be in Sedona in May but I will be the one taking the photons to hanging on a rope.

Nice shot Jason! Love your POV on the climber. I hope to take a class like this when I move out to Colorado for Zion National Park.

Hey nice shot man! Were teaching the local BSA troop 1450 about this stuff. They gotta know it for their badges!
