Light Tunnel

I thought I’d round up the week by posting one more shot from Antelope Canyon. I have enough photos from my recent trip to post one ever day for the rest of the month, but I thought I’d change it up next weekend. If all goes well, I should be taking another trip up north on Sunday as long as the cloud situation is looking good. Thanks for all the great comments, tweets, likes, +1′s and overall awesomeness this week – your support means a lot.

I suggest clicking on this photo to view it a lightbox.

Sands of Time

Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest impact in an image. Enjoy!

Sanctum

As promised, here is another shot from Antelope Canyon. I was concerned initially about shooting in a tight space where I knew there would be many tourists but the Navajo Guides did an excellent job directing traffic and giving our photography group time to finish our long exposures. The only difficult part was that in some of the narrower spaces there just wasn’t room for us all. Everyone on the tour was really nice however and we were able to take turns without too much trouble.

This photo was from what I would consider the “main chamber” of the canyon. By the way, have you all seen the James Cameron movie “Sanctum?” If you haven’t, I highly suggest it – it makes me want to go caving!

Antelope Canyon

I finally had an opportunity to get out and do this some shooting this weekend. The forecast was for blue skies so I decided to head up to Page to photograph Upper Antelope Canyon for the first time. I was absolutely blown away! This is THE most scenic slot canyon I’ve been in and is very deserving of all of it’s fame. It doesn’t matter how many people have photographed it, there are so many unique and abstract angles that I could go back again and again (which I intend to do).

I have so many shots that I like from the canyon that I could barely decide where to start processing but I’ll be posting several this week so be sure to check back!

Color or Black & White?

I thought I’d post one more shot from Red Canyon today. The trouble is that I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so I wanted to ask your opinion. Which do you like better – color, or black & white?
