The Roof

Monday is here to welcome you back and asks, “did you miss me?”

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Kristi and I are headed back into town today and will resume are regular blogging schedules tomorrow. I honestly can’t wait to process and share with you some of the photos I’ve taken this weekend.

For today however, I have another shot from the dog track to share with you. This is the view from the roof of the main building. Having spent a good deal of time on roofs in my life, and having known several people that have fallen through them, we were careful to only walk on the walkway. I think the building must have been used by the people doing the commenting for the races, and possible some of the VIP’s that went to the track. As always, leave me your thoughts in the comments section!

HDR Photo

Camera: Nikon D90
Lens: Nikkor 18-105mm
Processing: Photomatix Pro 4, Adobe Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS5

Nice shot and focus on the walkway. This place you’re shooting has so many odd details to it. Normally I only see walkways like that near a beach, not on a roof! Looks cool though :)

What an adventure! I love the composition! Nice shot with my favorite thing (blue sky).

I am also curious if you are using tripod for this shot? It seems a little blur. I am not sure if that’s caused by the HDR processing?

I am so glad to see that someone else shot up on the roof at the track. I only took a couple while I was there

But really wish I would have spent a lot more time up there.

I like that you left yours in color to show the foam insulation coming through what would have been the roof sealer.

Great Shot! I love the composition on this one it really draws you into the scene.

To be honest though, I’ve loved all the shots from this dog track, it looks like such an awesome place to bring a camera and take some shots.

Keep it up – can’t wait to see what you captured this past weekend!

    Really nice shot, Jason.
I agree with the others, the composition is spot on with that walkway leading down the center. Nice background as well.
