Up Close and Personal with a Kangaroo

During our stay on Phillip Island, we went to several different wildlife parks. All of these gave us the opportunity to feed and pat the kangaroos, wallabies, emus etc. This photo was taken at the Maru Koala and Animal Park just outside of Phillip Island. This was a really nice place that had a large kangaroo enclosure and was the first time we came face to face (literally) with a kangaroo.

That’s a pretty unique angle on our kangaroos. The photo you have is from the ‘Kangaroo Island’ speices, which as their name indicates come from Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia. They are really friendly and interactive kangaroos which is why we brought some over here to Maru to meet out visitors. Hope you enjoyed your time with animals. Neroli – Animal Park Manager

Neroli – Thank you very much for your comment! My wife and I very much enjoyed our time at your park. Your staff was very knowledgeable and the kangaroos were friendly and social. We’ll definitely recommend your park to anyone we know who travels to that area.
